Integrated Multimedia Production, B.A.
The interdisciplinary major in Integrated Multimedia Production offers a broad curriculum that integrates courses from Audio/Music Production, Graphic/Information Design, Journalism and Media Studies into a cohesive program. The major focuses on the creation (writing, ideation, storyboarding), production and distribution of multimedia texts across various platforms. The major prepares students to create their own multimedia content through a mix of traditional (photography, audio, visual, digital film, and digital imaging) and emerging technologies (artificial intelligence, augmented/virtual reality, user experience and user interface design, and streaming multimedia). All students will complete a multimedia capstone project, and an internship or experiential learning practicum. The curriculum encourages students to use the broad range of electives to curate an individualized experience beyond the required core courses.
