BIO 407 Stream Ecology
Stream Ecology is a study of flowing fresh waters emphasizing interactions between stream organisms and the physical and chemical environment; as well as stream-watershed processes and human effects on stream ecosystems. The laboratory will include field observations and laboratory analyses of stream ecosystems, including measurement of physical and chemical parameters, stream biota, and a synthetic study of a local stream-watershed system. Three hours of lecture and one, three-hour laboratory per week. Some Saturday field trips required. This is a link course with BIO 507.
